A Taste and a walk in the Alta Langa woods
A new nature trail has been created at Casa di Langa, linked to the autumn season, an immersive experience in the wild and hidden beauty of our territory.
We are talking about the Alta Langa forest, in which we discover its main components, an ecosystem where flora, fauna and fungi, the third fascinating fungal kingdom of our territory, coexist in harmony.
We start from the wood of cherry trees, where our naturalistic heritage is told, through the history of plants and their relationship with the animal kingdom and the mycotic environment, especially truffles.
Then we come to the old hazelnut grove, where we discover the long history of the hazelnut, which arrived from Asia and then developed in Roman times, until its successful spread in the Alta Langa.
The trail closes in the new “truffle park”, where you can admire all the varieties of “comary” and “symbiont” trees and plants, hornbeams, poplars, maples, oaks, dog roses… to discover the secret relationships between roots, plants and mushrooms, and to learn how one of the earth’s most precious products, the truffle, is born.
The educational trail in the woods can be enjoyed once a week, by reservation only, led by our team of gardeners.
